Seiko Automatic Watch Movement Servicing.
Traditional watch movement servicing for any Seiko Automatic movement of the last 45 Years, 1970-2015.
Complete Postal Service, you pay for the service & post us your watch. We service it, regulate it, then send it back.
Simple as that.
Like your cars engine the performance of your watch's movement will deteriorate over time if not cared for properly, this is due to a mix of built up dirt & stiffening of the movements lubricant, sometimes a broken or worn part.
An automatic watch has a weighted rotor that spins when you move your arm. That rotary motion is then used to wind the watch's main spring. When in good shape & fully wound this movement should have a power reserve of around 30-38hrs roughly after being taken off.
When your watch arrives we will first assess it, strip (deconstruct) it checking parts as we go. All mechanical parts are then cleaned ultrasonically in a traditonal watch cleaning machine before being reassembled, lubricating (with suggested oils) as we go.
All gaskets disturbed will be replaced.
Once assembled we then test & regulate your watch's performance on our digital timegrapher to ensure it is running correctly & within acceptable tolerances before resealing it & returning it to you by Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day delivery.
We have 2 simple tariffs as laid out below:
Option 1: £59.99
This tariff assumes that the watch stills runs, even if only for short periods. When the watch is 'swung' the second hand will move for a few minutes or seconds.
Option 2 : £79.99
This tariff assumes that the watch does not behave as above & shows no signs of life whatsoever. The second hand will not start up no matter how much the watch is wound (by swinging or hand winding if it's a hacking movement).
These tarrifs both include the cost of any parts required to complete the servicing, it also includes cleaning of the case & bracelet.
These prices do not include any dial or hand restoration or crystal replacement although these services can be added on at the buyers request.
Only Royal Mail Guaranteed Next Day delivery is used when we return your watch, this service will require a signature.
