Flightpath UK 1/72 Fordson WOT.2H 15cwt General Service Truck British General Service Truck 20mm Scale New and sealed, metal and brass etched model kit.
Ref No : FHP72224 Fordson was originally a tractor manufacturer and was wholly owned by members of Henry Ford's family (Ford & Son). At the start of WWII, the British Ministry of Supply specified the design for 15cwt one and three ton trucks.. The WOT refers to War Office Trucks and the number 1, 2, 3 referring to vehicles and the letter suffix, A-H, referring to versions. The WOT.2 was based on the civilian Model 61 chassis and the H was the last variant with half steel doors. There were two basic variants, ther General Service as depicted here and a closed van. In service there were also house bodied variants as communication, radio and fire service vehicles. Some were also converted to light anti aircraft trucks by mounting a 20mm Polsten or Hispano cannon. Almost 60,000 were produced with vehicles remaining in service until the 1950s. Metal and brass etched kit. Whether for wargaming or just for display this brand new kit is a beauty. Not to be missed.
