For your consideration today I have 3 beautiful dolls portraying Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.  The Wizard of Oz is my all time favorite movie. The largest doll is a Judy Garland doll portraying Dorothy. Judy was made in 1939 and is all composition.  I saw the original auction for a 21" Judy Garland/Dorothy that Edward Pardella sold (Oz Memorabilia).  I was inspired to re-create the look of that one-of-a-kind Studio doll and this is what I did.  I took a nice condition 21" Judy that has had some facial restoration. I restyled her original wig into pigtails.

I gave her the reproduction checkered dress so that she would look like the smaller versions of the Dorothy Wizard of Oz character.  Her overall condition is good. She does have crazing through out.

Her shoes were not usable, so I borrowed a pair from Shirley Temple and added the red glitter to make her some "Ruby Red Slippers". Her pin is a reproduction.  She is marked on the head "Made in the USA" and Body is marked  Ideal Doll with a backwards 21.

Her face looks very nice while the rest of her has crazing.  She has her original wig that is a restyled dark brown human hair wig, big brown eyes that are clear. She has blueish eye shadow and painted bottom lashes. Her hair lashes are a little thin.  She has an open mouth with 6 teeth.  She has a newer reproduction dress with vintage shoes, socks and hair ribbons.   She is just gorgeous and looks awesome on display!!

The next doll is 15". I'm not sure of her age, I would say she is from the 60's. She has no markings. I fixed her human hair wig into pig tails and redressed her as Dorothy. She looks very cute. She has blueish sleep eyes with all their sable lashes. She has a couple of light marks on her leg. Her hair is kinda fragile so you wouldn't want to redo it.

The next doll is a 14" Effanbee that was made in 1984. She is the 6th and last of The Effanbee Legend Series Heritage Collection. She is beautifully made with great detail. She does come with Toto in her basket that is not shown.  She is marked C in a circle with 1966 mgm Effanbee Oz on her neck. She is marked Effanbee on her back. She has her hang tag.  She is in mint condition.

Included in this auction is a cookie tin from 1999 Series #1. It still has the unopened cookies inside. (Please don't eat the cookies, they are old.) It looks great on display with the girls. Also included is a cute oz memorabilia stand with Dorothy's red slippers that can be clicked together for your wish. It has a nice picture of Dorothy and Glenda.
