The 2cm-thick ceramic wall has an enormous heat storage capacity, which absorbs heat for hours, distributes it evenly over the wall and releases it into the interior. Together with the air-tight lid, the grill uses very little fuel - usually more than 50% less than conventional grills - to reach temperatures between 110° and 700° C. In addition, the dome shape creates a warm suction like a conventional oven which can be controlled via the vent holes on the ground and in the cast iron forge.
