Eines der interessanteren und doch seltenen Leica M39 Objektive aus der Vorkriegszeit, das Elmar 4,5/135; der Vorläufer des dann in großen Stückzahlen gebauten Hektor.

Von Leitz ab 1931 auf den Markt gebracht um schnellstmöglich auch Wechselobjektive zur Leica I anbieten zu können; nach nur rund 5000 Exemplaren dann vom Helktor abgelöst.

Hier in ursprünglich nicht-standartisierter Fassung; mit der kamera-angepassten Nummer 370, noch OHNE Entfernungsmesserkupplung!

Objektiv wurde später standardisiert, siehe Pfeil mit 0 am Ende der Fassung.

Toll für Ihre Sammlung, besonders wenn Sie eine der wenigen (knapp 3000 Stück in 1930/31 produziert) Leica I Modell C mit Nicht-Standard Fassung besitzen, und natürlich wenn Ihre Kamera die Endziffern 370 trägt.

Sehr schön auch die optischen Elemente für ein 80 Jahre altes Objektiv, nicht perfekt natürlich, aber ganz schön.

Ein kleines Highlight für eine Leica M-39 oder Leica Vorkrieg Sammlung.

One of the more intersting and also rarer lenses of the Leica Barnack type M39 system, the 135mm F4,5 Elmar.

quickly developped / brought on the market by Leitz in 1931, to be able to offer exchangeable lenses for the new Leica I; after about 5000 produced pieces then substituted by the Hektor 135mm, which was then produced for many years in large quantities.

Here an early specimen in originally non-standardized mount for use on a Leica I with the end number 370, still non rangefinder-coupled! It has later been standardized (see arrow with 0 at back of barrel).

A particular highlight in your collection, if you own of of the less than 3000 produced non-standardized Leica I model C produced in 1930/31; particularly if your camera body carries the end number 370.

Also glass looks fine, not perfect of COURSE but very nice, even more for an 80 year old lens.

But please be so kind, to check very old lenses with your eye against normal backlight; it is useless checking very old lenses with modern superstrong LED torch light or even with magnifying glasses; you will also not check a 1940 oldtimer car by testing its qualities with a modern 300 hp V6 motor from Zuffenhausen....
