What do we mean by page yield?
You may have wondered how we come up with our page yield estimates. The page yield is based on 5% page coverage. That's about the equivalent of printing a short letter with a header. Why 5% you may ask? That number comes from the International Standards Organization. They're the group that decides how long a centimeter is and how much a pound weighs. They also set the industry standard for measuring page yield for printer cartridges. This is good for buyers because all of the major manufacturers including HP, Canon and Brother use the same standard.
