The Concert Boy 220 is a 5 waveband mains or battery portable superhet covering the Long and Medium wavebands plus the 2 Short waveband from 6MHz to 16MHz and the FM waveband from 88MHz to 108 MHz.
The Whole radio is in very good condition. I tested it on FM and it is excellent. I had to fiddle about to get shortwave and i dont think MW and LW work very well but then do you get any channels on these anymore?
The sound quality is excellent from the large Grundig speaker.
There are separate tuning scales for each waveband.
There is a headphone socket and a 26" telescopic aerial. Volume control is by a slider control and there is a separate slider for tone control.
It will run directly from the mains or from 6 'D' size cells (not supplied)
