This is an original press photo. Bob Kimball, Stanford U, set a new intercollegiate record for the javelin throw here yesterday when he got off a toss of 239 feet 9 1/2 inches in meet against USC. Kimball broke the record set by Bill Miller of Arizona State at Tempe of 237 feet 10 inches at the Modesto relays in 1951. The Stanford star's best previous throw had been 221 feet 1/4 inch.Photo measures 8 x 10inches. Photo is dated 05-11-1955.
