Metal Melt Value --
These prices come from GIA recognized Gem Guide, THE wholesale price guide for dealers. These values do not dictate what a piece is worth. This is the price a piece would be worth if stripped down and melted to its bare materials.

The History

This beautiful piece was made by a very talented Native American silversmith. It features hand crafted silversmith work throughout.

Carico Lake Turquoise comes out of Nevada and is famous for being only of the few naturally green forms of turquoise in the world. It was used by Native Americans and the mine at one point was even owned by Tiffany & Co.

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is known throughout the world for it's gorgeous solid blue hue. It is very similar in look to Persian Turquoise and just as rare due to the perfect blue hues it has. This is a rare type of turquoise that we are lucky to find today!

The buckle is signed by the artist with the name of David.

The Piece

The buckle includes a large hand cabochon cut piece of natural green Carico Lake Turquoise as well as two smaller Sleeping Beauty Turquoise stones as the eyes of the lizard. The Carico stone has a vibrant green hue mixed with black matrix in areas.

The buckle is made of solid Sterling Silver and includes traditional Navajo Nation silver work including a hand shaped 3D Lizard motif that spans across the entire buckle. The design of the buckle is concave so the Lizard doesn't stick out and catch anything.

The buckle measures an astounding 3.5" by 2 and 1/2". The buckle fits up to a 1 and 3/4" wide belt.

Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates. Unfortunately, most of the jewelry from this time period has been lost or melted down over the years, please don't miss your chance to own this special piece of history!
