The Zeiss Ikon Contax system was at its time one the absolute cream top products of the german 35mm rangefinder production, seldom equalled in its technical refinement, workmanship and also: Its price.

Its engineers had only one limit: Perfection. The main reason why Zeiss Ikon went down in the 70ies...so many people ordering cheap low quality also in the photographic range, nowadays more than ever...;-).
