Original WWII Era US Army M1938 Leather Rifle Scabbard w/Straps for M1 Carbine - Marked: US JQMD 1945 - G503 GPW MB Willy Jeep - Excellent Condition - RARE

Up for auction is an Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1938 Leather Rifle Scabbard w/Straps for the M1 Carbine.  The leather is soft and supple.  There are no cracks, some minor crazing at the tip of the scabbard.  Still has the original straps with the hooks.  The end plug is still present.  It is marked: US J.Q.M.D 1945.  Markings are clearly visible.  Exellent overall Condition.  The item is used, please see photo's for condition.

This scabbard was most commonly mounted on WWII era Jeeps or other military vehicles to carry the M1 Carbine when not in use. 

NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display.  It is NOT recommened for actual use.  

This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles.
