VINTAGE FULL SLIP
36-ish bust- see notes below
This is an elegant vintage full slip by Dorell.
In black, it is made from soft, smooth, silky nylon, with pretty embroidered lace and chiffon trims.
The slip is carefully tailored and very well made, with gently-gathered cups and a border of sheer black and palest grey embroidered chiffon lace at the top and pale grey piping. There are panels at the sides and the satin ribbon shoulder straps are adjustable.
The body of the slip is fine silky nylon and the hemline has more embroidered lace braid and a double chiffon ruffle in black and pale grey to match the bodice perfectly.
Size notes: labelled 36, the slip fits that size bust or a little larger or smaller. However, being a tailored style, you need to be slim to wear it! The waist fits to about 30"-ish and the hips are 38", so please measure yourself to make sure it will fit! The length is 42" (below the knee) with adjustable straps.
The slip is 'new' old stock and in excellent condition overall, with the original label inside, and it has been laundered for freshness. The label is marked 'irregular' but the only fault I can find is with the shoulder straps which are faded (or were poorly dyed) and look very dark green rather than black. They look rather charming in my opinion, but please see next-to-last photo which has been lightened to show the fault - the straps are actually a darker shade and less green than they look there!
A particularly stylish and elegant vintage slip - perfect with your very best vintage undies and sexy seamed nylons! Recommended.
