Presented is a fine hand crafted antique watch case or box with a chronometre Corgemont pocket watch. Made perfect for travel or display of pocketwatches the case is a great representation of Folk Art is from the black forest region. The highly decorated hand crafted lid that has a deeply carved flower bouquet motif folds down and under to create the perfect base for watch to be displayed upright on a flat surface to check for time.

          The Silver watch or chronometer was made by Corgemon and is marked for silver made is Switzerland  c1890. It is marked with a moon next to a crown for German Silver and a bird facing right one above and one below the number .800 indicating the finess of silver age and maker it has no monogram.  The Back of the watch open up to reveal the marks and origin it also states, "ANCRE 15 RUBIS CORGEMONT WATCH" The pin of one hinge appears to have been replaced at one time and the watches crystal is missing.  The Watch does not appear to be working but the second hand moves slightly when wound.

The pocket watch box and silver watch are a beautiful piece of workmanship as well of a collectable piece of history.
