This is a 25-volume grouping from the 28 Volume set of "The Complete Works In Prose and Verse of Rudyard Kipling," Burwash Edition. Set #795 from a limited printing of only 1010 sets that are SIGNED BY KIPLING IN VOLUME I. Published by Doubleday, Doran and Co., NY, 1941. MISSING ARE VOLUMES XXI, XXII AND XXIII. These 25 books are bound in the original publisher red buckram cloth bindings. Gilt on tops of page edges, rough cut side page edges. The books are in Good to Near Fine condition--general light wear. Eleven volumes shows considerable wear to head of spine. Eight of the volumes show evidence of old staining to bottom edges of spines or covers--there is no internal dampstaining at all. A few show some light cover rubbing/scuffing. some cover front discoloration as shown in my photos. Hinges are largely intact. Books measure 6 1/8 X 8 3/4. A 21 volume grouping including the signed volume I can be found on other internet booksites for $2012!! Complete sets sell for upwards of $3500!!! Individual unsigned volumes can be found for upwards of $75 to $100!! I will offer this near complete, 25-volume grouping for only $1450.00 plus $36.00 S&H in the US.
