Hasegawa 1/72 M4(A3E8) Sherman Tank US Heavy Tank 20 mm scale Brand new, still sealed in plastic bag unbuilt plastic model kit.
Ref : MT15 This auction is for a brand new kit still sealed in it's plastic bag. A cracking example of the American "Heavy" tank. Used on all fronts during WWII - even the Soviets had them under lend lease arrangements - the M4 Sherman was the workhorse of all Allied armoured divisions. Armed with the 76mm gun High Velocity gun the M4(A3E8) was an upgunned Sherman designed to take on the German "big cats" - The Panthers and Tigers. Woefully outgunned and under armoured the Sherman became known as the Ronson or Tommy Cooker on account of the speed at which it was liable to burn when hit. However, the M4A3E8 remained an effective weapon even after World War II had finished. In 1967 Shermans were called into action again during the Israeli-Egyptian six day war. Ideal for wargaming or just building for fun, this is a very straight forward kit to build which goes together very well and has a nice solid feel to it once it's completed. The mouldings are clean and crisp. Not to be missed.
