You are bidding on a Webcor Model 1097-1A tube type stereo amplifier and preamplifier. These pieces were removed from a console which included a phonograph changer. The amplifier uses a 7025 tube, four 6BQ5/EL84s, and a 5U4GB rectifier. I tested these US made tubes, and they are useable. I replaced the rectifier tube with a stronger example. The preamp uses three 12AX7s, but I did not test them. Many of the tubes are the originals, branded Webcor. I did not power this up, but the collector I got it from indicated that it worked, but it sat in his garage for awhile, so it would be best to power it up slowly. There is a wire bundle that comes from the preamp and plugs into a miniature socket on the top of the power amp. The power amp has a plug at the end of a wire, for a cheater cord to connect to 115 volts AC. The power amp measures 14 by 5 by 6 inches is size, not counting the mounting flanges. A diagram from inside the unit is included. This should be a fairly inexpensive way to get a great little stereo amplifier to enjoy quality tube sound! Shipping weight is 20 pounds. A matching FM tuner is available for the extra shipping cost, if desired. Please see my other auctions for tubes and other early radio, phonograph, and audio items.
