For bow makers, the only source is their existing stocks. We respect every pernambuco stick, and put extra care in crafting.

A good pernambuco bow should have no knots, and the grain should be thin and straight. For high quality pernambuco bows, there is no "best" bow, but a "right" bow. Same bow often sings differently on the same instrument by different players. Some players like flexible bows, and generate loud sound using high speed. Some fancy bows with great strength, and they like to use a lot pressure to get loud sound. It totally depends on player's taste.
