Kniphofia triangularis - Red Hot Poker

This listing is for a pack of 5 seeds.

This is one of the smaller Red Hot Poker species, only growing to 60 cm or so. It has reed like leaves that persist all year round and spreads by means of underground rhizomes. The flowers are typical for the Red Hot Poker, but are smaller than many of the other species. The flowers open as a salmon pink/orange and then fade as they age.

Hardy down to Zone 7 (perhaps as low as Zone 6 in a well drained and protected site), they are ideal garden subjects where space would not permit the growing of one of the larger species. It is tolerant of damp conditions often being found near streams and watercourses.
