SUMMARY:

THE DIAL- Standard black Seiko dial with normal C3 lume. Note the aged patina on dial, with it as the back drop of the new custom hand set making for an excellent contrasting effect.

THE HANDS-
Hour and minute: Ploprof inspired Plongeur design. Green minute hand, green hour hand.
SS: Ploprof inspired "Box" design. Color: green.

THE LUME-  Hands incorporate the use of Super LumiNova®. The non-radioactive alternative to the inferior radioactive Tritium® material.

THE CHAPTER RING (minute track)-  Black, with mint green minute markers, index minute markers.

THE BEZEL- Stainless steel with black bezel insert.

THE BAND- Vented wave black rubber dive strap. The preferred style as it seems to ventilate sweat on the wrist better. Installed with Seiko FAT spring bars.

THE CASE- Original stainless steel Seiko 7002 case. It's reputation speaks for itself. Note that is a pre-owned refurbished watch. This is not a brand new watch. It will have some marks and wear befitting a vintage watch. We polish the case to the best of our abilities to a presentable condition, please please view all photos. We take pains to photograph angles of the watch on how it will be seen when worn, however we do not photograph the back case as it's stainless steel and difficult to photograph due to reflections, it does not show small scuffs. Additionally the amount of photos we can put in a listing is limited and showcasing a part of the watch which won't be seen while worn made it less vital than the other photos we show. Saying that we can assure you the back case is in decent condition with no rust, however the back case will not be in mint condition. We don't polish the back case as we don't want to remove the original engraved markings.

THE CROWN-  Solid corrosion resistant stainless steel screw-down crown.  Water sealed with gaskets to keep water and dirt/dust out.

Note: The case of this watch is shroud* adaptable.  Click the link below for more info of the hottest knew mod part on the market.

THE MOVEMENT- Seiko 7002 17 jewel workhorse. When maintained properly will outlive you, but will still keep going for future generations to enjoy.
Note: This is an automatic movement that has a self winding rotor in the case that winds the watch. Please give a pre-owned and serviced movement as such a good back and forth shake for a couple of minutes upon receiving it. This gets it started, and users active movements while wearing it will keep it powered up.

CONCLUSION-   A Seiko Super Mod with the legendary 7002 case and movement attached to it.  When you consider the cost of buying individual mod (custom) parts.  What're you waiting for? This watch is an insane bargain.  Offered up for a buck, $1 no reserve, good luck!

Note:  Please read all parts of auction body. And ask all questions and concerns through the question and message prompt. I'll do my best to answer any inquiry. This watch is pre-owned, and has been cleaned and serviced by competent Seiko technicians. While not brand new all functions of watch are working. All functions of the watch including timing and assembly are up to acceptable standards befitting the age and normal wear of this vintage piece. Movement and case are assured to be authentic Seiko articles or your money back. All other parts are of acceptable quality dedicated for use on this specific watch model. Mod parts, i.e. hands are guaranteed brand new and of the exceptional quality. If you're a collector, or just looking for a cool watch review my feedback and see the many satisfied customers.

Frequently Asked Questions:
• What does MOD or Modded mean?
- The word 'mod' is short for modified, or customized. In the Seiko world it can be something as simple as changing the original hands to a custom set of hands, like a set of "Mercedes" style hands, the bezel insert to a different design or color, the dial, or face of the watch to a different designed dial, or one made of Mother of Pearl materials. There are numerous ways to customize, or 'mod' a watch. After the process is complete, it's therefore 'modded'. It's a great way of giving a personalized unique touch to a timepiece.

• Are the modded watches in these listings authentic, or originals?
- Our company sources only original pre-owned time pieces from the eras of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. After which we totally disassemble and clean and polish them to acceptable standards. While many parts and accessories can be replaced with custom ones. We assure the case, or body, and the movement to be of the original manufacturer. In the case of Quartz mods, a high quality Japan or Swiss movements have been used for the movements on said mods.

• What is the meaning of the word "Tuna" in respect to Seiko divers watches?
- 'Tuna' is the nickname (Seiko watches have many nicknames) given to one of the cherished collectibles in the Seiko world. The famous 6309-7010. It has a large cover, or shroud over the case that eliminated the need for a helium escape valve when deep sea diving. The shroud on the over the watch was the first shrouded Seiko diver, and it resembled, according to the early users of it, a tuna can. Hence the nickname Tuna. Our company makes and uses "Tuna" inspired dials in their design.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
We take a vintage Seiko movement and case, clean it, buff the case & crystal, then refurbish it.  We then water test on a 3ATM rated water testing apparatus and guarantee to swimming standards, provided Seiko's recommended tips for water care are followed.  (Please google Seiko webpage to read these water care tips and other maintenance guides BEFORE placing your watch under water).  We then mod it with brand new 3rd party mods from the Dragonshroud Mods brand. You end up with a near new looking MODDED Seiko.

There will be the occasional, superficial flaw in the case, or crystal though we do polish these as much as possible to remove scratches.  Please check the photos carefully.  These are NOT brand new watches, so please bear that in mind, you may see some wear expected on a 'up to' 20 year old watch. The date may be slightly worn, the crown and bezel slightly stiff, or loose. We do replace any parts on the movement that are not working at the time of refurbishing and replace them with either brand new 3rd party parts or reconditioned workable parts from other Seiko's (may or may not have markings depending on the part) but not all parts on this refurbished watch will be replaced if they are deemed in decent working order.  Not all parts are original Seiko parts, some are the Dragonshroud Mods brand, some are generic 3rd party brand, but the case and core movement are guaranteed authentic Seiko.  If we used all Seiko parts we wouldn't be able to offer these amazing $1 auctions.  The word to keep in mind is that this is a MODDED Seiko watch.

Please bid accordingly & check photos carefully for any slight flaws,
... what you see, is what you get.
Rest assured, you can refer to our feedback to see 100's of VERY satisfied customers
and we do our utmost to keep our customers happy.
