This is a genuine rarity:  Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's hardest to find omnibus -- the Meisha Merlin edition of Pilots Choice, including two complete Liaden Universe® novels, Local Custom and Scout's Progress -- bound in leather by Antiquarian Bookcrafts, Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, Ireland, in 2001.  It is offered by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, from their personal collection.

The binding of this volume was commissioned by Anne McCaffrey, and given to authors Sharon Lee and Steve Miller as a gift.  The pedigree page bound in by Antiquarian Bookcrafts states that the leatherbound edition is limited to 10 copies, lettered A to J.  This copy has no letter, though there is  space to write one.  There are also lines to accommodate the signatures of the authors.  The authors will sign and date the book, if the winning bidder so desires, and designate it as Copy J.

More about the book -- bound inside the red leather hard case is the complete text (including Meisha Merlin house ads) of the second (May 2001) trade paper printing of Pilots Choice.  The front cover bears the Tree-and-Dragon, embossed in gold.  The title and authors' names are embossed in gold on black leather on the spine; the signatures appear to be hand-sewn to the binding; all edges are gilt; end papers are red and black.  This particular volume has never been read.
