Description

Bright and cheerful 14 ½” BONNIE BABE is a most adorable Character Baby circa 1926 by Georgene Averill, with the bisque head made by Alt, Beck & Gottschalk on cloth body with composition arms and legs. Her perfect bisque head is incised “Copr. by // Georgene Averill // 1005/3652./2 // Germany //~ (more numbers under cloth)”; head circumference is 10 ½”.

No damage and no repair.

Sweet brown glass sleep eyes have the finest painted lashes all-around under barely-there brows; plump dimpled cheeks are bright & rosy and the open mouth has two teeny porcelain bottom teeth and molded tongue-tip. It looks like this darling baby is about to drool. So sweet !!

Cloth body has correct composition lower arms and legs~ (limbs look like they have old, smooth professionally done repainting. Her gorgeous outfit is factory-original with a dress of lace-trimmed palest-blue organdy with matching bonnet, batiste slip and poufy-pants are underneath, plus knitted booties keep her feet warm. Loveable Bonnie Babe comes from a non-smoking home. (W)

Our layaway program for any FULL PRICE item is a third down and the balance due in 30 days for items over $500.00. We do not charge interest on our layaways and generally do not extend them over 60 days.
