PortaPow Premium USB Battery

This is a slim battery pack which uses a 10200mAh rechargeable battery to power your portable gadgets and charge them at the same time. It can be plugged into the power socket just like a normal power adaptor. This pack would be suitable for dramatically increasing runtime when away from a power source.

A fast charge micro USB cable is built in to save space, this can be used to charge the pack from any USB socket such as a computer or iPhone charger, and also to charge your device from the pack. You can also use the USB cable provided with your device. This cable works on the same principle as PortaPow 'fast charge' cables as sold separately so will also allow you to charge your Android/Windows/Backberry from any other PC/TV/Mains/Car USB socket at high speed without going into data transfer mode.

It is compatible with virtually every device which charges from a computer or a 5V mains charger. A micro USB cable is built in, if your device uses a different shape connector you can use the USB cable supplied with your device. Compatibility includes the latest iPhones, iPads, Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, Google Nexus, HTC One, Nokia Lumia, Sony Xperia, Backberry Z10 / Q10, Motorola X / Droid, LG Optimus etc, as well as bluetooth headsets, Raspberry Pi, portable speakers, and many other gadgets.

The pack supports trickle charging making it useful for charging from a solar panel, and can output power at the same time as being charged.

 

How does it work?

Use the USB cable supplied to charge the battery pack from a USB socket or micro USB charger such as a computer, smartphone charger, mains/car/solar USB chargers. Then connect your device to the battery pack using the same cable, push the button to activate the pack and charge it up where ever you are. Your device (including satnavs such as the Garmin Edge) can still be used as normal during charging, and two devices can be charged at the same time.




How much battery life will it provide?

The pack can fully charge a typical smartphone or satnav 3-5 times. Tablets can be charged 0.75-1.5x depending on the model. A 12 Month Guarantee is included.

 

 

Which devices does it charge?

Since the pack features USB sockets, it can charge the thousands of devices which be charged or powered over USB, just use the USB cable supplied with your iPhone, iPad, etc. The built in Micro USB cable works with most non-Apple phones and many other devices. Check the picture at the top of this page to see if your device's charger matches the shape of the micro USB connector.
