Let me tell you something...I have seen the tadgear one in person.  If I had bought a tadgear one before buying one of mine, I would be very upset!!!  My SERE pouches truly are that much better than theirs.

This is a brand new, hand-crafted SERE pouch.  You may have seen some "others" around here and there...here is how mine is different and BETTER.

First, the "others" only seem to be available in black and were not made for widespread sale.  The ones I make aren't either, but at least you can buy one from me...you can't buy one from the "others".  :-)  Oh, and by the way -- the word "SERE" is a military term and cannot be copyrighted by any commercial entity...just so folks know...:-)

Oh, and just so you all know, I will be forced to increase the price on these soon because my materials suppliers have raised prices on raw materials as well as their shipping.  If you are "thinking" about buying one of these, I would do so as soon as possible because I don't have much material left to make these and once I have to reorder supplies, the price is going to go up.  Thanks.

My pouch is available in genuine Crye Precision Multicam camo (US Army "Scorpion"), genuine Schott A-TACS (AU), and black.  I can also make these in maroon and red with black interior and trim, black g-hook, and black elastic and closure webbing.

MY SERE pouch is better than "theirs" in the following ways:
  1. MY pouch is DOUBLE-STITCHED AROUND THE PERIMETER FOR DURABILITY!!!!!  :-)  "Theirs" are NOT.  They only have a single stitch around the outside of the pouch.
  2. You're never going to be able to get one in Multicam / Scorpion camouflage from TADGear.
  3. MY pouch is available in Crye Precision Multicam (US Army "Scorpion"), Black, and ATACS (AU).  The others do not offer it in ANY colors because they will not sell them to anyone in any real quantities.
  4. My pouch is made using a DOUBLE-LAYER of Military Specification (MILSPEC) US-Manufactured 1000D DuPont Cordura Ballistic Nylon.  The "others", well...are not.  They are made of a single layer of 500D nylon (much lighter, thinner, flimsier, and less abrasion-resistant).
  5. My pouches are made of all 100% US-manufactured, military specification materials (even down to the thread I use!!!) and using military specification construction techniques.  "Theirs"....are not, simply put.
  6. MINE are made in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BY A US ARMY IRAQ WAR DISABLED VETERAN.  I will let you draw your own conclusions on who makes "theirs" and where they're made.  :-)

Additionally, just the overall stitching quality and construction on mine is FAR BETTER than the TADGear ones.  The TADGear ones are sewn with 3/4" binding tape instead of 1" like I use on mine.  I sear all the ends of binding tape on my pouches.  TADGear's pouches just let the binding tape run out wherever it happens to run out...for instance, right on a long edge.  I measure out all my binding tape so that there is one long, continuous piece of tape around the perimeter and it ends at a corner instead of the middle of a long edge like TADGear's.
  9. I reinforce all corners on my pouches.  TADGear does not.
  10. My SERE pouches are about 20% larger in size than TADGear's.  This allows you to carry more gear and slightly larger items without much additional increase in the size of the pouch when folded.
  11. My SERE pouches are sewn across the top of the 1" elastic in order to better retain the items in the pouch while it resides on your bag.  TADGear's elastic is open at the top, which is less secure.
  12. The strap on my SERE pouches is removable.  The reason for this is so that you can use it as a field-expedient tourniquet.  TADGear's is permanently attached.

The TADGear small patch shown in the pic below is NOT included, however, the strap will have a 1" x 1" square of Velcro for you to attach your own patch, if you'd like...MUST BE REQUESTED WHEN ORDER IS PLACED!!!  Please send me a note during your transaction or afterward through ebay to request the velcro be added to the strap.
