What do I need to install this ?

  • Desired size of vinyl

  • Felt tipped squeegee

  • Stanley knife

  • Cleaning cloth and soapy water

  • Hair Dryer

 

How much do I need to wrap my car ?

  • For a small to average size sedan or small ute, approx 20 Metres to wrap an entire car ( Please note these are estimates only )

  • For a larger sedan or larger sized ute or SUV's, approx 25 - 30 Metres to wrap an entire car ( Please note these are estimates only )

  • For motorcycles - Approx 5 metres to wrap an entire bike ( Please note these are estimates only )

 

How do I install this ? 

  • First you need to measure the area over which use need to install using a measuring tape. Always add at least 5 cm to length and width to allow for curves and to cut according to size

  • Clean desired area with soapy water and thoroughly dry

  • Carefully inspect desired area after cleaning to ensure there are no dirt or dust particles as this will impact the results

  • Stretch film using both hands over desired area. Large areas like bonnets may require 2 people. Starting from the middle, use felt side of squeegee to firmly smooth film from the middle of area to the edges. This will ensure there are no air bubbles. 

  • Cut the excess film from the edges for a smooth and professional finish

  • Be aware of the outside temperature. Ideal conditions for installation are 15°C to 30°C
  • The hairdryer can be used to assist with wrapping vinyl around curves. Make sure to use a low heat setting and keep the dryer at least 30 cm away from the vinyl.
