HEIDI: A Story For Children & Those Who Love Children

Condition: The book's pages are free of rips and writing (except for an inscription in ink on the frontispiece). From this inscription we see that the book was a Christmas present given in 1925. There is no indication that this was a later printing from the copyright date (1921), so I'm unsure whether this is a first edition or first printing. The cover shows both wear and tear. The picture and lettering are worn off in places. The cloth is worn off in places--at the corners and outside edge. There is a 2" rip of the cloth at top spine edge. The binding is loose, but the cover and all pages are still attached. There is a stain/water mark? at the lower outside corner (see picture #4). The pages are a bit yellowed but all very readable. For a book approaching 100 years, this one is in pretty good shape.
