1971 Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Convertible CONVERSION which I purchased in 1999. Since then the following work has been performed;
     Replaced fuel pump and hoses.
     Replaced shocks both front and rear, tie rods and flex disk.
     Brake calipers and pads front and rear.
     Wheels and tires.
     Heater cables and levers.
     Voltage regulator.
     Replaced A/C hoses and convert system to R134A
     Installed seat/shoulder belts in front.
     Battery.
     Rebuilt transmission.
     Professionally refinished the wood on the top of the dash and around windshield.
     Radio.
     Both hood and trunk mat.
To the best of my knowledge everything works except the clock. I am not quite sure when the car was converted. The paint is driver good driver quality and shows very well. There is one bubble on the hood as shown in the pics that has been on the car since I bought it.
The top is a manual top and is starting to show some wear as shown in the pics but has no tears.
It is not by any means a trailer queen or perfect car but one that can be driven daily without any fear. It is mechanically very good and drives very well.
