In this second volume, Master Takemi TAKAYASU shows you the four superior kata, with their complete applications, one traditional Yakusoku-Kumite, as well as defense and attack techniques against an aggressor armed with a gun

 

It may be the first time in the world that the applications of “Seiryu”, ”Kanchin”, ”Sanseiryu” are shown in a comprehensive way.

 

Traditional Dan-Yakusoku-Kumite :

In our style, most of the kicks are Shomen-Geris. The Sokuto-Geris are very few and Mawashi-Geris do not exist in our kata. Yet, this Yakusoku-Kumite includes both Sokutô-Geris and Mawashi-Geris.

Kata Sanseiryu :

It’s one of the special kata of Uechi-Ryu. It’s an attack and defense method against several enemies. Therefore, its defense and attack techniques are more diversified : Watari-Uke, Hasami-Taoshi and Kakushi-Ken (Shi-Zuki). They are high level and high speed techniques. This kata is quite representative of Uechi-Ryu.

 

Master Takemi TAKAYASU is the official representative of Uechi-Ryu in France and in Europe.
