Vitamin C. Also referred to as Ascorbic acid, Vitamin C is a type of water-soluble vitamin that is available in small quantities in the body. Vitamin C helps prevent scurvy and has high anti-oxidant properties that aid in protecting and preventing cells from harmful free radicals. Vitamin C dietary sources include broccoli, orange, grapefruits and kale. Aside from its antioxidant properties, it is also famed for its contribution to youthful skin due to its promotion of collagen production. Vitamin C combined with Vitamin E helps contribute to skin, nails and hair health.
Vitamin E.First discovered in 1930s, Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be found in many food sources including brown rice, sunflower seeds, salmon, pecan, sunflower and corn oil and almonds. It is one of the powerful antioxidants contributing to healthy skin, nails and hair.
Grape Seed Extracts.Grape seed extracts come from the Vitis Vinifera, a berry plant that thrives in South Western Asia and Europe. The grape plant’s primary active ingredients are called “Grape Antioxidant Dietary Fibre” also known as GADF and “Oligomeric Proanthocyandin” or OPCs. The extracts contain strong antioxidant properties, which help target free radicals that cause cell and tissue damage thus reducing damages to the skin.
Selenium. Selenium is a trace element that the body needs as it contributes to healthy hair, skin and nails. Selenium should only be taken in the recommended dose as too much can cause adverse effects. Selenium can be found in soil in its inorganic form called “selenite”. The trace elements are absorbed by the plants or animals and is bountiful in Brazilian nuts but can also be found in Swiss chards, mushroom and garlic. Recommended dose would be between 50 to 200mcg daily.
Our Skin, Hair and Nails come in easy to manage 8mm tablet size. The tablet does contains soy, which can cause allergic reaction in people who have soy sensitivity.
