Levi's Vintage Clothing 1890 Lot 501XX "Barnyard" Jeans

These are new with tags RRP £399. Tagged 34/32 and are true to size (full measurements below) pre washed /shrunk so don't expect any further shrinkage.

2011 LVC vault piece modelled on a pair found in a barn in northern California in the 1990's.
Levi's Strauss Archives bought them for $15,000 and used that original pair to fashion these reproductions, with all their natural wear and tear. This style of 501 was produced between 1890-1901, and features one back pocket (with tattered hole), a buckle and buttons for suspenders. Having been hung on a nail outdoors, the jeans have a spectacular bleached and weathered patina from years of exposure. The 1890 XX 501 Barnyard is being produced as a hand-numbered limited edition of only 501 pairs.

Details: Made in the USA from 9oz plain selvage denim, waistband clinchback, silver buttons with exfoliated light green pastel paint, suspender buttons, side pockets with rusty bronze coloured rivets in the front and one patch pocket in the back. The first two horse leather patch, single needle arcuate. The jeans are washed out and individually distressed, roughened in some areas with green and brown colour treatment and a heavy marigold top stitching.
