Audiophiles review The Acuhorn S2
very thanks for all. Now I tested.
First listen....I am shocked with very deep bass....
This is OTL??? Sure , they are not as accurate, but voiced...because they are tubes...Very nice! Female vocals ? Breathtaking...Violin, guitar , saxophone? Very lively , surprising. Very musical amplifier. I walk around in a swimsuit :) I know ... it warms...I will listen and I will write again. Btw. absolutely perfect package...
Speakers : Triangle Magellan Cello. Source : Teac CD.
Yes, I now that S2 is true OTL. This was joke. :)
Everywhere he writes that OTL have no bass....

Review TNT-Audio The Acuhorn S1
So we're left with a very slim, beautifully finished. I thought it looked brilliant – modern in the best sense. Jutting out of the top are two large valves – Russian 6C33C's (from MIG 25's). So robust and with the ability to produce huge current and low impedance for a dual triode valve. Soundstaging was excellent left-to-right. The music cutting to the heart of the music was something the amp excelled at. What I did like about it was the speed especially in the midband combined with a lovely sense of timing. The Acuhorn didn't sound like any amp I've ever heard. the Acuhorn 'sound' in that it's controlled and precise, very detailed and shows no harshness. The amp was reliable and didn't overheat or display any nastiness – it just got plugged in and worked from the box. Given that the reputation of some OTL's in the past. It's also easy to live with, can be run without a pre, and with valves costing 25 Euro. The power and compatibility so appropriate speakers; efficient and an easy load are essential. For those needing more power Acuhorn offer both higher-powered and monoblock versions using the same technology and valves.

Mono and Stereo The Acuhorn S2
I've managed to quickly listen to the S2 as standalone "integrated" amplifier and with full gain open in combination with my Robert Koda Takumi K-10 preamplifier. With Magico S1 speakers under the review, these different quickly morph into a very interesting system. I wasn't sure what exactly to expect as this is OTL amplifier with fairly unusual topology, yet its special. What I can sum so far with few familiar songs played through is highly positive. There is recognised warm, three dimensional sound of the tube power amplifiers, but with the touch of speed and open nature of OTL amps. Transparency on the natural, warm dark side. Give me a few more days to get into the more prolonged listening, but so far I'm positively surprised by Acuhorn S2. This amplifier for sure works at the peak or operation as the heat it produces is enormous. Combine that with the 600-700 hours of playback time and S2 becomes a true F1 contender. But with intriguing potency! I’m surprised by the sound. Very nice!
