The majority of woodburners and multi fuel stoves built today use black fire rope so replace like for like for a more professional factory finish.

This top quality woven glass fibre stove rope can be used for sealing stove doors, flue joints and lids and doors on rayburns. if you have noticed your stove is burning out of control or if you get the smell of smoke while your stove in burning then your rope seal is probably to blame. fire rope provides an air tight seal around your stove door keeping both smoke in and excess air out. if your fire rope is not replaced when needed then your stoves efficiency can be drastically reduced and dangerous gasses are allowed to escape. it can also be used for sealing large gaps in flue joints ie some flue collars on some stoves can be quite a bit larger than the flue pipe diameter. if this gap was to be sealed just with fire cement then this would crack and fall out over time causing leeks so the fire rope can be used to fill the majority of the gap then sealed over with fire cement.

The adhesive is an advanced formula designed to work at high temperatures and maintaining a strong hold. The adhesive comes in a handy 50ml bottle with easy to apply nozzle and is black in colour so will match the black fire rope. the adhesive is an advanced formula that it will provide adequate hold before it cures to hold the rope in place while installing it The Adhesive will cure with the first lighting of the stove.

25mm Wide 250mm Length of black heat resistant rope end sealing tape used to wrap around the cut length of the rope to clean up the fraid edges. which provides a much neater professional look.

How To Fit New Rope To Your Stove Door

start by removing your old rope and clean the channels in the door thoroughly. check the length of the desired rope some trimming maybe needed. apply the end sealing tape to the cut ends of the rope. then apply the adhesive to the channels then push the rope into the channel and onto the adhesive. Once the rope is in place close the door and leave for a couple of hours this will air cure the glue. once the glue has air cured you can light the stove the glue will then cure permanently with the heat to hold the rope securely job done!
