Some of the listed capacity on a Flash storage device is used for formatting and other functions and thus it is not available for data storage. As such, the actual available capacity for data storage is less than what is listed on the products. E.g 1GB=1,000,000,000 Bytes. In OS system it would be displayed as 1,000,000,000 Bytes/1024/1024/1024 = 0.93GB.
