Welcome!
This auction is for a fully operational Super 8 mm film camera made by Braun Nizo. This 801 macro, is developed from Braun’s earlier model 801 which in turn was developed up from their S 800. Has everything built in, starting with a Schneider Kreuznach lens which has a zoom range of more than 11-to-1! When set to macro setting it allows distance adjustment from the front lens. Include a two-speed power zooming, with de-clutching for manual zooms; nice reflex viewfinder with split image viewfinder and excellent brightness, TTL metering with full manual override and a plus correction as well, plus plenty of other features!
One of the major improvements over the previous x00 Nizos is the automatic B function which will allow automatic time exposure in low light situations. The camera has a built-in light meter for normal filmmaking and uses an externally mounted photocell only for this function, just take a look at my picture below, it’s clearly visible under the name badge. Since the exposure duration (and interval between frames) varies according to the light level, you will notice the camera running faster or slower as light levels change (for those wishing to film streaks of colored light on roads or highways). The camera can automatically determine the correct exposure anywhere from 1/10 second down to one minute per frame.
Beautifully balanced (will stand up unaided on a flat level surface), perfectly designed for the serious movie maker and incorporates almost every feature anyone might desire. For in-detail view please take a short look at the technical specifications chart below:
