As a printer tech I see alot of printer manufacturer that sell printers pre-programmed to run the Drum Unit only up to a certain number of prints.

Once that count is reached the machine will "Lock Up" until you purchase a new Drum Unit. That is great for suppliers but not for the end user.

If your machine was printing good copies.  You could use this reset kits to reset the drum code and extent the life of your drum.

If you are having printing quality problems or error codes other than the "replace opc drum" light message, this kit will not help that.
