Be advised that this strainer only fits newer Intex plunger valves. The threads that connect to the plunger valve measure roughly 2-1/4" outside diameter and has two sets of threads on the inside of the strainer basket. If you strainer has a single thread for the basket and has a valve connection thread measuring about 2-1/2", you will need to replace the plunger valve and the strainer basket by purchasing a complete plunger valve and strainer assembly for pools with clamp on hoses or with threaded connection hoses.
