Our repair kit in this listing addresses the common failure of the gear linkage cable fitted to the Vauxhall Vivaro, Nissan Primastar and Renault Trafic. Our components described herein with the assistance of our supportive instruction media will allow you to repair the faulty gear linkage cable. An extremely common fault corrected by our repair kit.
The nylon bush on the end of the selector cable wears over time and simply pops off. The nylon material is very soft; as it operates on a metal ball joint it wears prematurely causing this fault. The vehicle manufacturer’s solution to this issue is to replace the gear selector cable (at a great cost), this however will wear in the same way as the original and the issue will reoccur. Some customers have advised us of some replacement cables only lasting 3 months before popping off again.
Our uniquely designed item securely clamps the selector cable bush to the gear box, restoring the function of the gear box within minutes - for the lifetime of your vehicle. Our item features a dual clamp design so there is no possibility of the joint working loose ever again. A strong sleek design finished in mirror polished stainless steel.
