2 ASOS 18650 2600mAh 42A + Xtars Rugged Storage Box
Excellent is a word we use sparingly, but these ASOS batteries are just that. The best we've come across, hopefully the consistency will remain with these.
If you check the graph you will see that the battery reached 2360mAh with a large continuous discharge load of 20A, this represents 90.7% of stated capacity with a huge load of 20A. We set an acceptable standard of 80% stated capacity at 20A.
ASOS follow the usual routine of stating pulse discharge current, this practice i am not a fan of but everyone does it now so its unfortunately become the new standard, only Xtar actually state the continuous discharge.
The graph test shows this along side Efests excellent (the ones I tested were, Efest are not always the most consistent quality) 2600mAh 40A. The ASOS out performed this battery, right from the start of the test it looked better, less voltage drop on load, not once did the lines cross over, so the ASOS basically beat it at every stage of the discharge.
This isnt meaning the Efest battery is bad, its very good, this is why we like the ASOS so much, it is better than the best 2600mAh battery we had tested.
The battery is also quite fun, they have put some pretty cool day glow plastic inside the head of the battery so when the lights go out you can see 2 green circles. These are actually useful to help stop reverse polarity if using in the dark and they are charged, but i dont think it will really serve much practical use, but it is fun and they look cool in the dark, especially if you have a UV light to quickly charge them with.
These batteries are ideal for devices that need a high drain battery, so sub ohm vaping, battery packs, rc toys. Not really ideal for Cree torches since most Cree LEDs use regulated current so you will not be able to tell that the battery is becoming deeply discharged until it is too late. Deep / Over discharge is very bad for Li-ion batteries and should be avoided as it will damage your batteries, Xtar chargers can revive a deeply discharged battery, but the battery will still be internally damaged and capacity and life span will be severely effected

IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS BATTERY IS UNPROTECTED AND ADEQUATE PRECAUTIONS NEED TO BE TAKEN. Because these batteries are unprtected they carry much higher risk over discharge, over charge and most importantly SHORT CIRCUIT! Shorting the battery needs to be avoided at all costs as the battery will heat up so quickly it takes seconds to be too hot to hold, a few more seconds to start melting things and then eventually vent, burn up or even explode vi some do, donts below, note this is by no means a complete safety guide, it is the responsibility of the user to educate themselves on how to charge, discharge, store and transport Li-ion batteries and take adequate precautions.

Do not use if they receive any external damage no matter how slight
Do not short circuit
Do not reverse polarity
Do not charge unattended or whilst sleeping
Do not expose to water
Do not carry loose batteries in your pocket or purse or bag, always use a non conductive container like the one provided.
Do not operate over the maximum discharge current rating
Always use a good quality charger (All Xtar Chargers are of excellent quality)
If the charger has manual settings for different batteries, always make sure its on the correct setting
Do not use NiMH or Ni-CD chargers to charge this battery
Do not remove the battery cover
Do not modify the battery
Keep out of reach of children
