A very rare Omega* Coaster teddy bear made in the 1920s - I call him "Speedy".

*Omega was the tradename of the British United Toy Manufacturing Company.

Speedy himself is made of gold mohair, filled with woodwool and has brown/black glass eyes. He has black nose, mouth and claw (on his feet) stitching. Speedy sits on a wooden seat on a four wooden wheeled trolley with eccentric motion. The overall height is 11" (28cm) and the overall length is also 11" (28cm).

Speedy has an even covering of clean mohair. There is very slight wear to the mohair on his right fist and a small patch on his back. Speedy has all his original features. His trolley is missing it's pull cord and the leather on the bellows movement, located under the wooden seat, has deteriorated such that the spring has separated. However, that spring is available (see pictures).
