Dichroic glass pendant Angel wings
Dichroic glass holds a unique colour changing property, it changes colour depending on the angle viewed
This piece has a stunning Gold to Aqua shift. Made with a layer of cream bullseye glass under a layer of Stunning dichroic glass then topped off with a 3mm layer of crystal clear bullseye glass, this gives a stunningly deep lustre to the pendant.
The Gold angel wing design has also been kiln fused onto the pendant so it can't peel or scratch off (it's not a sticker)
Each batch of pendants is kiln fired for approximately 6 hours upto temperatures of 804°C (1480°F) then left in the kiln overnight to cool slowly (this process makes the piece very strong). The next day the pendants are shaped in a water cooled grinder and placed back in the kiln for a further 5 hours to fire polish and again left overnight to cool to room temperature. The bails are then attached using a special appoxy glue.
Dichroic glass is very difficult to photograph the photo does not do this stunning pendant justice.
