Available for your consideration is this amazing pair of large Port/Starboard Marine lanterns by Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Co. This matched pair of PERKO Ship's Running Lamps is from a CT estate.
These lamps are a statement piece that anyone would be proud to display! They look absolutely fantastic when lit.
Believe these lanterns were made in the 1960's or 70's.
Each lamp is approximately 15 1/4" tall from base to the top of the handle, legs measure 10" and 14" from corner to corner. The exposed lens is approx. 6 1/4" high and about 12" in circumference. They weigh over 12 pounds EACH.
I believe these are made of brass and then coated or painted (lacquered).
The FRESNEL GLASS lenses are made of VERY THICK GLASS and are in great condition for there age. Both lenses are marked (molded) "PERKO."
Both lanterns are in the following condition;
There are some small dings on the top of the green lantern. Glass is in very good condition with no large chips, cracks or repairs.
The red lantern has several small dents on the top. The glass lens is in very good condition with only a few small chips on the ribs as shown. Mounting bracket has a small tear that should not affect anything. A small hole was drilled in one corner for no known reason.
Important: these lanterns are in as-found vintage condition and need to have the sockets and wires replaced. Socket corrosion and insulation decay present. Gaskets need replacement before sea or outside use.
These "working wounds" give the lanterns a nautical feel.
These marine lanterns have taken on a nice patina from the salt of the seas.

And please display your lights correctly, green on the left and red on the right as if a ship is headed your way.
