There is full connectivity for power and data through the 8-pin DockPort
connector and the cable to the USB connector, so charging and
data transfer are fully-functional.

The integrated iPhone DockPort connector enables quick and easy loading of
the iPhone into the cradle. Can be used with included power lead.
The swivel ball-joint mounting enables the phone to be positioned to
provide the driver with the best viewing and operating angle.
This cradle incorporates the superb Skin-Fit features to enable
a skin or cover to be left on the phone when in the cradle. The flexible
spring-clips grip the side of the phone and allow for many types of
skin, case, bumper or cover to remain fitted (skins/covers are not supplied
but are available separately).
