This can also be referred to as volumiser. It works as an illusion to increasing body and structure to a hairstyle. Instead of using a hair donut, hair padding is the alternative. If the padding is seen in a hairstyle then it will still look like teased hair, however if a donut is seen through a hairstyle it will look very unprofessional. Hair padding is made out of synthetic hair and can be reshaped to suit the stylists needs. Unlike a hair donut which is not very flexible, hair padding can be condensed with ur hands to create a smaller bun and very flexible when styling.

It is also very easy to pin into the hair and also works as the base of any hairstyle. Instead of inserting pins into the clients head you simply put all the pins into the padding. As the padding is teased hair, the pins inserted into it will be alot more secured than if they were put directly onto the scalp.

Handle padding with care as they are very delicate and if you are not careful the netting can tear and the padding will dismantle.

Also if you would like to reuse the padding be sure to be careful when removing pins out of it as this may also tear the padding if handled without caution.
