Known for his keen observation and accurate representation of society, Balzac is considered one of the founders of realism in European literature. Now offered for your consideration is this c. 1900 Thirty volume set of Balzac’s La Comedie Humaine.

Condition: These octavos each measure either 8 inches by 5 ½ inches or 8 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches. Leather is somewhat rubbed and scuffed. Top edge gilt. Contents very good.
