The Original bearings fitted in the drivers side wiper arm wear and fail causing wiper problems such as

Wiper not clearing the screen as it should due to lack of pressure on the screen.

Seizure of the arm itself.

Rough operation or loose wiper mechanism

Rattling  sounds.

Noisy mechanism.

If you push down on the base of the wiper arm & it cleans the screen better then this is also an indication that the bearings are on there way out.

etc

It is often easy to spot failing or failed bearings by inspecting them,

you will more than likely see that they are damaged, corroded or missing the protective shield that should be over the bearings (the blue in the photo)

The original bearings are poor quality and are incorrectly sealed which causes water to ingress the bearing which in turn causes the bearings to rust, seize or collapse over time (see photo) and are not suitable for the purpose.

It is extremely common fault for both bearings to fail on the drivers side wiper arm. In the past it would have meant the entire wiper arm mechanism would have to be replaced at the cost of £90-£120 from the vehicle manufacturer,

But as the new original arm would contain the same bearings obviously it would just fail again in time.

This kit includes the necessary parts required for you to replace your bearings and restore your wipers back to full working order.

This kit will allow you to replace just the parts that fail without the need to replace the whole wiper arm mechanism which would but pointless and costly as it would just fail again.

SUPPLIED IN THIS KIT

This kit includes ABEC 9 standard duel shielded bearings.

For those that do not know what ABEC is we have put an explanation below you might find interesting.

Zinc plated screws and washers with nylock nuts to ensure a vibration  and weather proof retention of the bearings

We even include a HSS cobalt steel drill bit designed to cut through the metal spline which retains the bearing.

We will provide some fitting information.

but to be honest there are many videos on you tube showing how to carry out the job.

WHAT IS THE ABEC SCALE.

The ABEC rating system is graded as follows 1,3,5,7,9.11,13

The higher the ABEC rating, the tighter the tolerances are, making the bearing a more precision part.

High precision and small tolerances are required for bearings to function at very high RPM, in products like high speed routers that must spin at 20 to 30,000 RPM
