The Viewer:
This is the most sought after stereo slide viewer ever made! It is a Realist Model #2062 Green Button AC / DC Viewer made by the David White Company of Milwaukee - the same company that made the Stereo Realist - The most popular 35mm stereo camera ever made. While I love the Kodak Kodaslide stereo viewers, I have to admit this one is the mac daddy of them all. It is solid and well built. It has all the necessary adjustments: focus, Interocular, it operates with 2 "D" size batteries. This one DOES NOT have the additional cartridge for the AC operation - it only comes with the original DC cartridge! If you obtain the AC cartridge, it drops right in and will make AC operation available. These are available on ebay from time to time usually for just a few dollars. I've heard more than one 3D enthusiast say that their stereo slides have never looked as good as they do with this viewer!
It is built very tough, but does have some light wear which is so slight, it cant be seen in my photos. I have taken this one apart and cleaned the lenses - there is no haze or fog and they appear crystal clear. All electrical contact points have been checked and cleaned. The focusing control makes this one far superior to the Kodaslide viewers since it has actual gears rather than a friction control. I have never seen one of these fowled. The viewer is designed very well and it will continue to work for another 50 or 60 years as it has done already.
The Slides:
The viewer comes with 12 amateur taken realist format stereo slides in Reusable Stereo Easymounts. Several are dated as having been from a European vacation in 1955. The slides all look awesome in 3D! Please check out my photos and if you have any questions, please email!
