Vintage Matyo Folk Art Handmade Doll Dressed in Authentic Hungarian Costume ~D45

Up for sale is this Vintage Cloth Folk Bride Doll dressed in traditional costume of the Matyo people of Mezokovesd, Hungary. The body is tightly stuffed in cloth. Her head is molded with painted features and covered with the traditional headdress of married Matyo women – large colorful pompoms on a scarf base. Her costume features the traditional Matyo long and beautifully embroidered fringed black apron. Her dress has a fitted colorful floral print bodice, puffed short sleeves with a lace trim. She has a white cotton petticoat, panties and red fabric boots. This Doll would make a wonderful addition for the avid collector of vintage Folk Dolls. This is an adult collectible doll. Not suitable for child's play.

Condition: This doll is in good vintage condition for its age. Her petticoat has some yellowing. Sold as is.
