"Ceylon"

 

 

This is an unframed, signed and numbered, Marcel Mouly lithograph on paper, entitled "Ceylon."

 

The art is hand signed by Mouly, and it is from the EA artist's proof edition.  This piece is annotated "Epreuve d'Artiste."

Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) was born in Paris.  His career of painting was influenced greatly by Picasso, Matisse and Braque.  His work has been collected all over the world, and exhibited in prestigious venues around the globe.  His art has been included in the permanent collections of more than twenty museums.  He was at his death, the last living protege of the great Picasso.

 

The print is in excellent condition!  It is a wonderful image of elephants in Ceylon, today known as Sri Lanka.

 

The dimensions of the print are 11 3/4" X 9 1/2." The image is 9 1/2" X 7."

 

Included with the art is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA.)
