Cord bound commercial photo album, black cloth over flexible boards measuring 11 inches by 7.5 inches, containing approximately 219 snapshots, postcards (some rppc), photographic illustrations, news clippings, & related ephemera mounted recto & verso to 43 leaves. The album was apparently compiled by John Ritchie Vaillancourt of Oak Park, Illinois & documents an excursion by members of Siloam Commandery # 54, Knights Templar by train to Seattle, Washington in 1925. Many of the photos include manuscript annotations providing dates, places, etc.
Condition: Moderately rubbed, many leaves with edge wear (including tears & small losses), contents generally Very Good. Please see photos.
A really fascinating compilation documenting this extraordinary excursion which includes stops in Denver, Colorado, the Badlands of South Dakota, San Francisco, California, Mt. Rainier, Washington, & many other places.
