This is our set for the English translations of the three Final Fantasy games: Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI.
This set is guaranteed to please not only collectors, but gamers as well!
Final Fantasy IV:
Final Fantasy IV is a fan translated version of the original Japanese game. In America we got Final Fantasy 2 for the SNES, but at the time we didn't know it was actually the fourth installment! What's the difference before the American 2 and Japanese IV? Too much to list here, but a short list would be: In the American version, character skills were removed, Enemies were censored for wearing too revealing clothing, items were removed from the game, magic spells were renamed and some even completely removed. Towns were remade and altered, and dungeons were remade to make them more easy to navigate. The biggest part would have to be the complete "dumbing down" they did for the American audience, who at the time didn't embrace the RPG like Japan did.
Now you can have the game as it was meant to be played: Uncut and Uncensored! Fully in English and retaining it's original story line.
STORY:
In the Kingdom of Baron, powerful airships rule the skies. At the head of this elite fighting force is Cecil, Captain of the Red Wings.
As our adventure begins, Cecil and his squadron are ordered to steal a powerful crystal from a rival kingdom. Upon their return, Cecil questions the King’s orders and is stripped of his command. To prove his loyalty, he must slay a dreadful monster and deliver a mysterious package to a neighboring town. But when the package explodes, destroying everyone, Cecil and his friend Kain vow to fight the King’s dark forces. Will you be able to save the world from their evil plan to control the crystals...?
Final Fantasy V:
Final Fantasy V is a fan translated version of the original Japanese game. Although the game has been released many times in America on more modern consoles, the original Super Nintendo game was never published. This is the definitive Final Fantasy experience! The Job System was made popular from this game, and allows you to truly customize your party to your liking. Now you can have this game as it was meant to be played, right on your SNES, in full English and no censorship!
STORY:
Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. Peace and prosperity reign thanks to the power of these four crystals. However, the powers near their limit. Not far off is the day when the wind slows, the water stills, and the earth trembles and quakes. Yet, everyone remains blissfully unaware, and then the secret hidden within the crystals remained untold.
Unbeknownst to them, four people from different walks of life are about to be brought together on a common journey. Faris, a pirate who felt the impending disaster of the wind. Galuf, a mysterious old soldier who has lost his memory due to the force of a fallen meteor. Lenna, a girl who has left Tycoon Castle in search of her father, and Butz, the wandering traveler...
Final Fantasy VI:Final Fantasy VI is an English fan translated version of the original Japanese game. In America this game was released as Final Fantasy 3. Like what was the case with Final Fantasy IV, holds true for VI as well, there are a lot of differences between the Japanese VI and the American 3, such as: The story was altered to appeal more to American audiences, the sprites were censored or altogether changed, spells were renamed, the names were changed to be more "exotic" (For example: Tina to Terra), and much, much more. This version is a faithful to the original Japanese version, although in full English. This is how it was meant to be played, in its real context and story.
STORY:
Ages ago, evil beings created powerful creatures called Espers, and unleashed them against each other. The resulting battles left their world a smoldering rubble. Legend has it, the Espers destroyed themselves and most of humanity. Magic had disappeared forever.
Centuries have passed and a rational world now exists with Espers living only in myths, until one frozen solid since the ancient wars is unearthed... Suddenly, there are reports of magical attacks on civilians. Imperial Commandos launch raids using magic-powered MagiTek weapons. Magic is obviously alive, and the world in is danger once again.
Who or what is behind the rediscover and redeployment of this legendary power? What chaotic plans exist that will wreak havoc on this orderly world...?
