1796 Mexico/ Colonial 8 Reales .  The detail is very fine and clear. There are authentic chops marks that add to the historic significance of the coin and the travel of the coin. The Coin has been polished but it has not effected the detail .

The 8 reales/ pieces of 8 silver trade dollar was used by merchants around the world and was a universal currency . The coin was used by the early American colonists because of the shortage of British coins . The coin could be cut in half to be a 4 Reales or in 8 for the use of smaller currency
